![]() ![]() ![]() I started to compose electronic music in the mid 80’s and in the late 90’s the Solar Fields project was born, and I have been on this journey since then. Shine has three parts, though only the first part sounds the most similar to Still Alive, plus another song from Alcorus called "Mirror's Edge Rearranged" is most likely to be a remix of the Shine Part One. I recently released the soundtrack album for Mirror's Edge Catalyst / Electronic Arts and have also released 15 Solar Fields albums prior to that. It is confirmed that it is only a remix of Still Alive, yet it is often praised by Mirror's Edge fans to be much better than the original theme song itself. Shine surprisingly sounds like Still Alive, having the Still Alive signature piano scale (and it is also extended) and drum beat. The album was released on November 11, 2008.Ī French composer created a lyric-less song called "Shine" before the full Still Alive was heard. On October 7, 2008, EA announced a Mirror's Edge remix album featuring this song along with five remixes of it by Benny Benassi, Junkie XL, Paul van Dyk, Teddybears, and Armand Van Helden. Still Alive is the theme song for Mirror's Edge (no relation to the song "Still Alive" by Jonathan Coulton for the game Portal) by Swedish musician Lisa Miskovsky. ![]()
